I found that these articles that we read for today were interesting. Though we had two different sides to the story, I don\u2019t know if I can fully partake and agree with one individual. In my opinion, fighting over academics over social media is a bit\u2026 childish and immature.<\/p>\n
I do agree with the anonymous individual about social media becoming the distraction to education. I often finding myself searching Tumblr or texting back a friend when I get bored of the content I am learning, therefore, not putting in my full-attention to the speaker and what they have to present on.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, I also agree with Gannon and his idea that social media can not only help change our educational system and values, but also help us evolve technologically. I do find that bringing it to social media is a bit childish but I also see the relevance in the idea that you can learn something educationally from the online fight that we read about.<\/p>\n
I think that this form of online education is an advancement to the evolving way in which we interpret and learn new things. We, as humans, are always searching for something new. We are trying to advance as much as possible. This is the learning process in which we must learn and grow from.<\/p>\n
Talking earlier, I think this is also a reflection on the spectrum that we talked about in class. I think that there will always be traditional scholars that will always support the form of how we studied in the past, but I also believe that on another part of the spectrum, we have those that will contribute to academia through the internet like Tumblr or Twitter.<\/p>\n
This brings up the point that education has such a wide range of forms in which we can learn. In result, it can help better an individual as they can take up ways in which they learn best from. All-in-all, I think that these arguments are pointless and childish as I can see the perspective from both parts. I don\u2019t think that either of them are wrong, I just believe that each and every single one of these variables must be took in consideration before making the judgement. We are a society that continues to grow each and every single day and education is a part of that, whether it is traditional or technical or somewhere in between, that is up to each individual to decide.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
