This is the first volume of three, which bears Edith Wharton's signature and a mark on page 108. Includes a photograph of Walt Whitman. This book is a compilation of conversations between the author and his friend, Walt Whitman. This book includes the 'last will and testament of Walt Whitman in his own handwriting and properly witnessed' and dated June 29 1888 at Camden, New Jersey. He wills a thousand dollars to his sister Mary Elizabeth, a thousand dollars to his sister Hannah Louisa, and another thousand dollars to Hannah Louisa to be 'handed over' to her husband 'if she feels to do so'.
