Sandi’s website has attractive images and is quite easy to move around on given how prominent and frequent her “About”,”Resume”, “Leadership”, and “Teaching Potenti”page links are. Her passion for scholarship and activism are seamlessly blended together in a very meaningful way.
She has a very impressive C.V., does an excellent job of intertwining all of her skill sets to create a complete conclusive picture of herself and what she would bring to a graduate program. While I don’t use Twitter or any social media really (except facebook and I’m even considering ditching that), her feed and links worked and loaded quickly even on my T-Rex of an internet connection. Overall the site is very clean and easy to navigate. I’m never wondering where I am or how I’m going to get there. She could teach NINES a thing or two, that’s for sure…
I really liked her site. I want to find something to critique, but can’t except for the sidebar thing… There should be a “continuous scroll” option, something that makes the sidebar follow the page up or down and still have links be clickable. Maybe the fonts on the sidebar and header menu could be a tad bigger… Maybe the same size as the webpage font?
If I critique anything else I’d be lying
Wonderful photographs/wonderful evidence of mentorship. This was a great site to look at. Thanks for the CV suggestion and the comments. 🙂
I’m encouraged to hear (er, see) that Brittany gained a lot of ideas by looking at your site, Sandi. And I agree with her comments: you build a strong “argument” for your experience as a leader, researcher, etc. on your website. Minus a few navigation / design hiccups, I think this works very nicely and I hope you’re happy with it, too.
